|
| In Granby, you're 7,935 feet
above sea level, and in the middle of Colorado's Grand County. Granby
is only 80 miles from Denver, and is the kind of western town where
the people are easygoing and the hospitality comes from the heart. |
|
|
 |
You'll find rodeos, real cowboys, dude
ranches, and a whole lot more. Our next-door neighbor is Silver Creek
(Sol Vista) Ski Area, the ultimate family ski experience, with gentle
beginner slopes and a fully accredited ski school. |
|
|
| After you've mastered the basics,
you can move right on up to the intermediate and expert slopes you'll
find on the mountain. This friendly, unhurried ski mountain is just
the ticket for skiers and snowboarders who want un-crowded slopes
with a variety of terrain. Silver Creek (Sol Vista) also has it's
own Nordic trail system, plus snowshoeing, snow biking, horseback
riding, snowmobiling, golfing, and sleigh rides. |
|
|
| When you visit Granby, come
see Windy Gap Watch able Wildlife Area, just outside of town, look
for Canadian Geese, Ducks, even Sea Gulls, and Pelicans. At nearby
Lake Granby, Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Reservoir, you can enjoy
fantastic boating and fishing. If Golf is more your style, choose
from three beautiful courses. Just above Lake Granby, catch a hiking
trail into the Indian Peaks Wilderness, an extraordinary area that
compasses more then 73,000 acres. Walk past Wildflowers and Waterfalls,
high mountain lakes and tundra-all the way to the top of the Continental
Divide. Set out in any direction from Granby. Head north, past the
town of Grand Lake, and find yourself in Rocky Mountain National Park
on the World's highest paved road. |
|
|
|
| Drive west and you'll be following
the Colorado River where you can fly fish or see the rock-walls of
Byers Canyon. Travel east and you'll be in Winter Park and the Fraser
Valley. In winter, this is Colorado's favorite Ski Resort. In the
summer, people take out their mountain bikes and cruise through 600
miles of marked, mapped trails. |
|
|
 |
Back in Granby, hop aboard a hot air balloon
or a flight to get a bird's eye view of the Rocky Mountains. Granby's
temperatures are soothingly cool and the air is fresh and clean. If
you like adventure come to Grand County where activities are as endless
as your imagination.

|
|
|
So, if it's Winter,
Spring, Summer, or Fall Grand County is the place to be,
and Littletree is the
place to stay.
